Bethany Teator, Master Level Clinical Intern

Hi, I’m Bethany! I’ve been drawn to supporting others through healing and self-discovery for as long as I can remember. As an empath with an INFJ personality, I tend to approach life —and the people in it — with deep thoughtfulness, genuine curiosity, and a lot of care.

I bring a uniquely holistic perspective to my work, shaped by my background in nutrition and dietetics from Dominican University, my experience working with the geriatric population, and individuals on the autism spectrum. Those experiences taught me so much about connection, patience, and meeting people exactly where they are across all walks of life and all stages of it.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages and supporting those navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, school or work-related stress, and career questions. Whether you’re figuring out your next chapter, feeling stuck in the one you’re in, or just trying to understand yourself a little better, I’d love to be part of that process.

My approach is grounded in Person-Centered Theory and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), woven together with mindfulness and humanistic principles —but what that really means is that you are the expert on your own life. I’m just here to walk alongside you. You can expect warmth, unconditional positive regard, and a grounded, realistic presence from me — with a sense of humor along the way, because I think there’s always room for a little lightness in the healing process.

Outside of this work, you can usually find me with my dogs, knitting, crafting, outdoors, or curled up watching a movie.

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them to become what they are capable of being.” -Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
