Sherry Catey Hayman, LPC Pending

Hi! I’m Sherry, a compassionate and dedicated pre-licensed counselor. I am committed to supporting clients on their unique journeys toward growth and healing. I believe in truly hearing and understanding your story, and I strive to create a safe, welcoming space through my empathetic—and often lighthearted—approach. My holistic, strengths-based approach helps every client feel seen, heard, and empowered.

I have experience working with a range of concerns, including:

  •  Anxiety and depression
  •  Stress management
  •  ADHD and autism spectrum disorder
  •  Parenting challenges and divorce
  •  Chronic illness and complex caregiving
  •  Life transitions and women’s issues

I specialize in supporting parents of newly diagnosed neurodivergent children, understanding the unique challenges they face. I also enjoy working with women navigating life’s complexities, individuals in midlife, and caregivers of loved ones with complex needs. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where clients can explore their roles and prioritize their well-being.

I am also passionate about working with teenagers and young adults, as well as their parents, to provide assistance through academic, relational, and developmental transitions, including those related to school, career, and identity.

I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and orientations. My person-centered, strengths-based approach focuses on building competence, enhancing communication, and developing effective stress management skills. I view my clients as the experts of their own stories, and I collaborate with them to recognize their resilience and develop the tools they need to navigate life’s complexities, and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.
