Tyler Gambrill, Master Level Clinical Intern

*Accepting new clients starting February 16th, 2026.

Hi, I’m Tyler! A counselor in training here at Owens Counseling where my focus is on being a consistent, compassionate presence during times of challenge and transition. My goal is to support clients in better understanding their ideal life while also developing the skills and strategies needed to move forward. I am committed to creating a safe counseling space grounded in honesty, meaningful connection, and personal growth where clients feel valued and empowered.

The key things I strive for in the counseling process are building a strong therapeutic bond grounded in unconditional support and authentic empathy. I’ve found that both Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offer techniques and skills that help me best support the client. With this, I have a strong passion to help those struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship and family struggles. I am also drawn to clinical work with individuals navigating the effects of gender identification, dysphoria, autism, and traumatic experiences.

When I’m not counseling, I enjoy racing and motorsports as well as the NBA. I also love exploring new coffee shops. Staying connected to what matters most to me helps me remain grounded and self-aware, which allows me to show up fully and provide the best support for my clients.

Education: Clinical Intern, completing his Master of Science in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Bachelor of Science in Psychology – Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
